Terms of Service

Services
VerifyDeck provides identity verification APIs and related tooling, including BVN and NIN verification, facial verification, and fraud scoring. Sandbox access is for testing and evaluation; production access is subject to verification of your account and any applicable order or agreement.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the services lawfully and only for legitimate verification of individuals who have consented where required. You must not attempt to circumvent access controls, abuse rate limits, submit data you have no right to process, or use verification results for unlawful discrimination.
Verification results
Verification results reflect the data available from authoritative sources and our models at the time of the check. Results are decision-support information, not a guarantee of identity, and you remain responsible for your own onboarding and compliance decisions.
Customer responsibilities
Business customers are responsible for obtaining any required consents from their end users, for the accuracy of data they submit, for safeguarding their API keys, and for complying with applicable KYC, AML, and data protection obligations in their jurisdiction.
Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice, and may rate-limit or suspend accounts engaged in abuse or non-payment.
Fees
Paid usage is billed per verification request according to the pricing in effect for your plan. Sandbox usage within stated limits is free. Taxes, where applicable, are your responsibility unless stated otherwise.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VerifyDeck is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the services. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.
